So many (summer) hours, so much fun

One of the (many) perks of working at Branigan Communications is summer hours. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, we wake up with the sun and get in a little earlier every day for the chance to knock off early each Friday.

For some, it means a head start on getting out of Dodge; for others it’s staying put and enjoying the city. Here’s how Branigonians will spend/have spent/wish they spent their summertime.

I’m getting a head start on weekend traffic with BC summer hours. Madison here I come!
—  Rachel Haas, account director

I plan to spend my time today enjoying the weather while riding my new bike around beautiful Wauwatosa!
— Maggie Thelen, public relations intern

In my dream world I am sitting at an outdoor patio with a mojito in hand, but in reality, I’m cleaning out my closet or doing laundry. #getalife
— Janet Raasch, account director

I love being able to head out to our family lake house early on a Friday afternoon and enjoy some extra rays of sun!
— Julie Dohearty, office manager

Summer hours means the Friday drive back to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, (my hometown) for a family friend’s wedding becomes a little less painful.
— Emma Wallo, assistant account executive

I spent my time baking a duck cake followed by duckling cupcakes for my niece’s 2nd birthday. There was yellow frosting everywhere and the cake fell once, but eventually it all came together. Thanks BC for getting me one step closer to Cake Wars.
— Kathleen Dohearty, managing director

I'm taking the kids to the Bugs! Larger than Life exhibit at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Marlo McCormick, senior account director

I saw Beyonce in concert at Soldier Field in the pouring rain. She was FLAWLESS. All hail Queen Bey.
— Bridget Franke, account executive

I love the chance to explore the shops and restaurants in the city since I’m new here.
— Jennifer Marren, communications intern

I’ll get a head start on the drive to Door County, Wisconsin, for a weekend camping trip. With the extra hours, the tent should (probably) be set up before sundown.
— Griffin Gotta, digital strategist

The best thing about summer hours is having the opportunity to spend Friday afternoons together with my darling daughters doing whatever, whenever, wherever we want.
— Jackie Costa, senior account executive

I'll be obtaining all the vitamin D an Irish gal can.
— Callie Murphy, account executive

Enjoying the sunshine, and a few cold drinks, on Milwaukee’s many patios.
